This unique hardware business has served Landrum and the surrounding communities for over 100 years. At present, we are a full service hardware store with experienced people willing to take whatever time is needed to help you.

Thomas Wolfe once wrote "You can't go home again." Darrell and Lynda Bustle did the next best thing. They grew up in a small North Carolina town very much like Landrum. Darrell's family owned and operated a Lawn and Garden Store - Lynda's family owned and operated a Grocery Store. After leaving their clerking and stocking jobs behind, they went away to college, and then on to larger cities where they enjoyed different careers for nearly three decades. In 1996 they found the Landrum community, purchased the local hardware store, and felt like they were "home again."

The Thompson family had owned and operated the business since 1905. The existing facility housed the business since 1933. Many of our mature customers remember it as Thompson's Hardware and coming to the hardware store when they were children. Today, Landrum Hardware retains the atmosphere and service of yesteryear while offering the quality products of the 21st century

Our friendly, knowledgeable staff will help you solve your plumbing problem, bag and weigh a half pound of nails for you, show you our excellent selection of pocket knives, make an extra set of keys for you to have on-hand, fix your screen door or window, repair a favorite lamp, and offer you a classic handmade slingshot just like your grandfather used.
